The Surfcleaner SCO 8000 is an advanced, yet ingeniously simple invention. The patented collection and separation process has been developed into a self-managing solution consisting of only two moving parts. The separated oil is discharged to an external storage tank and disposal costs are minimized since the oil is recyclable.

Surfcleaner SCO 8000 has been developed through years of extensive research in close co-operation with customers. In addition to its impressive performance capabilities, it is durable and easily maintained. Many of our customers that have installed Surfcleaners in their API separator have a more cost effective and efficient solution to removing oil from the water surface.

More than 30 Surfcleaner units have been in operation for almost two decades in the industrial oil separation segment. We have served a variety of customers, including oil refineries, industries, coast guards and industrial ports, for example: Sonatrach Raffineria Italiana, Exxon Mobil, Preem Refinery, Esso Refinery, Ragn-Sells Group, Swedish Coast Guard, Ports of Stockholm and Midroc Environmental Services.

CUSTOMER REFERENCE

Sonatrach Raffineria Italiana

Sonatrach refinery in Augusta on Sicily is one of the largest refineries in Italy. Augusta Refinery buys two Surfcleaner units to reduce VOC emissions. They use API basins to clean their oily wastewater from the plant and needed a solution to clean water containing contaminants

“Surfcleaners automatically adapt the inflow depending on the thickness of the oil – from light fractions to thick oil – Surfcleaners can work with every type of slop. We have been able to reduce our VOC emissions considerably, and we can re-refine the oil that is separated, a double goal achieved in terms of environmental sustainability.”
